Guardian of Estate Support for Vulnerable Adults

Reliable Estate Solutions helps adults in Southwest Ohio resolve financial barriers to care through responsible, court-appointed Guardian of Estate services.

When a vulnerable adult needs long-term care but unresolved financial matters are standing in the way, Reliable Estate Solutions helps bring order and accountability to the process by acting in a person’s best interest, also known as a fiduciary.

Appointed by Probate Court, a Guardian of Estate helps manage a person’s financial affairs, pay approved expenses, file required court reports, and work toward stability when Medicaid eligibility or care placement is affected.

Understanding the role

What is a Guardian of Estate?

A Guardian of Estate (GoE) is appointed by Probate Court to manage the financial affairs of a person who cannot manage those responsibilities on their own. This often happens when someone is facing medical, cognitive, or care-related challenges and needs help organizing assets, bills, and required court documentation.

Reliable Estate Solutions focuses on modest, uncomplicated estates where financial matters may be preventing someone from receiving stable care or qualifying for Medicaid benefits.

why res exists

The gap that RES solves

Many vulnerable adults fall into a difficult middle ground. Their estate may be too large for Guardian of the Person agencies to handle, but not large or complex enough for attorneys to take on as a practical matter.

Reliable Estate Solutions was created to help with these mid-sized, modest estates, especially when unpaid bills, benefit transitions, or missing financial organization are delaying care.

The goal is simple:  To help the person move forward with dignity.

About Reliable Estate Solutions

Lori

Founder & Principal Guardian

Reliable Estate Solutions is led by Lori, a Nationally Certified Guardian of Person & Estate in Ohio.

Her recent background includes working as a Guardian of Person, where she saw firsthand how many vulnerable adults need reliable and affordable support.

This work is also personal. Lori helped care for her mom through serious health and financial challenges acting as Durable Power of Attorney.  She stepped in to make sure her mom received quality care and ongoing support. That experience shaped the heart of Reliable Estate Solutions: helping people who may not have a dependable family member nearby to advocate for their care and financial stability.
